The POWER program -- Positive Ongoing Woodbury Enrichment and Recreation
The POWER program is a free after school activity program for Woodbury students sponsored by the Salem School District.
Activities are typically held at the Woodbury School from 2:15 - 3:15 p.m., Monday - Wednesday and Fridays.
If a class is missing on the registration page that means it is full and closed to new members
Session 1 will run 9/2 - 11/25

This club provides a quiet space to study that is actively supervised by a Woodbury teacher. The club proctor is also able to provide academic support and guidance. The club operates Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Space is limited so we ask students to commit to attending one day minimum each week when possible.

Join Mr. Croteau and Ms. Genova for a role playing adventure with D&D Club. The experienced and curious are all welcome to battle dragons and uncover treasure. This club meets on Mondays.

Love movies? Enjoy popcorn? Join the Movie and Popcorn Club with Mr. Rowe on Fridays, where film lovers come together to relax, watch great movies, and enjoy tasty popcorn! Each week, we screen a different movie — from classics to new releases, and host fun discussions afterwards for those who want to dive deeper.

Ready to roll the dice, test your strategy, and have some fun? Join the Board Game Club! Whether you're into classics like Monopoly and Chess, party games like Codenames and UNO, or modern strategy games like Catan and Splendor, there's something here for everyone.

Are you a skilled violinist, violist, cellist, or bassist looking for a musical challenge? The Advanced String Ensemble is the perfect place for dedicated string players to grow their talent, perform exciting music, and work as a team!
In this club, students will:
- Rehearse advanced string music in a supportive, focused environment
- Learn techniques for ensemble playing, such as tuning, dynamics, and expression
- Explore a variety of styles, from classical to modern
- Prepare for school concerts, festivals, and special performances
- Develop leadership and collaboration skills through section work and small group projects

Join Percussion Ensemble to learn about marching and playing with Mr. Fountain and members of the SHS band! We will also have members of the high school front ensemble (xylophone and marimba) teach our students as well. It's a great connection for your Performing Arts future at Salem High School. You will meet Mondays until 3:30pm in the Band Room.

Are you interested in dance? Want to learn to twirl a flag? Join Color Guard! You will work with Ms. Hamel and students from the Salem High School team. This club will meet on Tuesdays until 4pm.

Get outside, get active, and have a blast with the Backyard Sports Club! This club is all about casual, friendly games like kickball, dodgeball, volleyball, soccer, capture the flag, and more. No pressure, no tryouts — just good vibes, teamwork, and outdoor fun.
Each week features a different game or activity, with a focus on staying active, learning new skills, and building friendships.
Open to all skill levels! Just bring your energy, a water bottle, and a willingness to play!
