Winter Sports Information & Schedules

2026-2027 Winter Sports Information

The 2026-2027 winter sports season start dates are as follows: 

  • Monday, November 2 for Cheerleading
  • Monday, November 9 for Girls Basketball 
  • Monday, November 9 for Boys Basketball
  • Monday, November 16 for Wrestling
     

Tryout schedules for Cheerleading and Basketball are posted below.  Wrestling will not have tryouts and practice will start on Monday, November 16.

Registration for all sports will be done online using FinalForms and will open on October 5.  The link for FinalForms can be found on the Woodbury Athletics home page.  All candidates must have a current physical (after June 1, 2026) and all information on FinalForms must be completed before tryouts begin.

    Coach - Sheridan Marinelli

    Tryout Schedule - Monday & Tuesday (11/2 & 11/3) from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Wednesday (11/4) from 5:50 – 7:00 pm.  Tryouts will be held at Salem High School (Four Court Gym).

    Tryout Schedule - Monday & Tuesday  (11/9 & 11/10), Thursday (11/12)     from 2:30 - 4:00 pm each day.  Tryouts could be extended beyond Thursday as circumstances dictate.  Tryouts will be held in the Woodbury School gymnasium.

    Tryout Schedule:

    • Monday (11/9) 6th Grade from 4:00 - 5:00 pm, 7th Grade from 5:00 - 6:00 pm, 8th Grade from 6:00 - 7:00 pm
    • Tuesday (11/10) 6th Grade from 4:00 - 5:00 pm, 7th Grade from 5:00 - 6:00 pm, 8th Grade from 6:00 - 7:00 pm
      **First cuts after the Tuesday tryouts**
    • Thursday (11/12) All remaining candidates from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.  Tryouts could be extended beyond Thursday as circumstances dictate.  Tryouts will be held in the Woodbury School gymnasium.

  • Coach - TBA 

    Wrestlers will meet in the Woodbury Commons Area on Monday (11/16) at 2:30. Practices will take place on non-meet days Monday through Friday (2:30 - 4:00 pm) in the Salem High School Multi-Purpose Room.
