Fisk and Woodbury Middle School Buddy Collaboration

Posted Date: 03/20/26 (02:24 PM)

Fisk first-grade learners "buddied up" with sixth graders for a day filled with collaboration and high-fives. Here is a look at how the day unfolded:

  • The Creativity Project: The pairs put their heads together to design and build unique projects. It was incredible to see the sixth graders gently mentor the little ones while the first graders sparked wild, imaginative ideas!
  • Getting to Know You: Beyond the glue sticks and markers, buddies spent time sharing stories. From favorite colors to books, the bonds formed were instant and heartwarming.
  • Lunch & Recess: The fun didn't stop in the classroom! The pairs shared lunch together before heading out to the playground to burn off some energy.

There is something truly magical about seeing our Grade 1 students look up at their new friends from Woodbury Middle School. Today wasn’t just a school day; it was a masterclass in community and creativity!
