Salem-Derry Elks Junior Teen of the Year Contest

Teenager of the Year: The Salem-Derry Elks is holding their annual Junior Teen of the Year Contest. The Elks are committed to the ideals of charity and patriotism. Each year, the Elks recognize young people for their involvement in their school and community. Below is information regarding this contest:
- Students can enter the contest by completing a portfolio celebrating their academic achievement, involvement in community and school activities, and community service.
- There will be 5 finalists from Woodbury School.
- The Junior Teen of the Year will be recognized in May or June.
- The Junior Teen of the Year will receive a savings bond.
- The portfolio must contain the following.
- A creative cover with your name and a personal photo displayed in a style that highlights your uniqueness.
- A page with the following information: full name, grade level, parents' names, address, and phone number.
- One page each highlighting your academic achievement, activities, and community service. ·
- Attach 1-2 letters of recommendation. These can be from teachers, coaches, or community members.
- You may include up to 3 " scrapbook" pages, including photos, awards, newspaper clippings, etc.
- Deadline: Portfolios are due Friday, February 23rd
