Congratulations to Officer Joey!

Special shout out to Officer Joey as he just completed the Syndey Marathon in his quest to run all seven of the world's major marathons to raise money to end blood cancer.

From Officer Joey....

Running the Sydney Marathon as part of my mission with Team In Training and Blood Cancer United was about so much more than 26.2 miles.

Every mile ran carried the names of every person and family whose lives have been changed by cancer. Including my own family. Every mile not only carried their names and their stories, but also carried my very own hope, and deep desire that one day soon, this world and everyone in it will never have to endure a cancer diagnosis again!

I’m humbled to keep running, raising awareness, and doing whatever I can to help create a future where no family has to hear the words, “You have cancer.”

If you’re able and would like to support this cause, any donation—big or small—would mean so much and help make a difference for those facing cancer."

Next up is the Chicago marathon in October.  The Woodbury community is very proud of him!
